West of the Hudson

Four times a year we share our insider’s look at the latest thinking from business leaders our principals visit across the globe.

As part of our research process, the LCES Investment Committee members leave Wall Street for Main Street, going “West of the Hudson” to visit business leaders, customers and suppliers of companies we research and/or invest in, academics and journalists around the world. Our aim is to learn what, in their view, is going right versus what isn’t, what is concerning them, what pressures they face, how operations are performing relative to plan and how they view the economy. Since these individuals know that we are not interested in their company’s quarterly earnings, and will not write research reports about them or quote them as sources, we are able to learn their frank and objective perspectives. In our “West of the Hudson” letters, we share our exclusive findings.
