Shelley Barker

Account Manager

Shelley focuses on servicing client investment portfolios. She also assists with client onboarding, portfolio maintenance, and client reporting.

Prior to Fischer Stralem Advisors, Shelley was Head of Marketing at Gapstow Capital Partners, an alternative credit multi-manager and advisory firm. While at Gapstow, Shelley was responsible for managing the firm’s marketing communications, researching allocator trends in the credit industry, and overseeing the operational duties of the firm’s discretionary funds. She also assisted in managing several of Gapstow’s alternative credit indices and advisory client projects. Shelley joined Gapstow after working in Morgan Stanley’s alternative investments operations group, where she provided operational and administrative support to the bank’s financial advisors. Shelley began her career at SEI Investments as an account analyst on their Investment Manager Services team, focusing on alternative products.

Shelley received a Certificate in Financial Planning from New York University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Services Management from Johnson & Wales University.
